Firm Overview

Marsh & Cotter, LLP traces its roots to 1973 when M. Dale Marsh began the practice of law in Enterprise, Alabama. Marsh became a partner in the firm Cassady, Fuller & Marsh, LLP in 1976. Following a federal clerkship in the United States District Court for the Southern Division of Alabama and several years of practice with the Hill, Hill, Carter firm in Montgomery, Alabama, Rainer Cotter returned home to Enterprise and joined the firm of Cassady, Fuller & Marsh in 1996.

The firm Marsh & Cotter, LLP was formed in 2011 following the withdrawal of the late Chad Stewart to work with a large firm in Montgomery, Alabama. James Tarbox joined the firm in August 2013 as an Associate Attorney following his graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The attorneys of Marsh & Cotter participate in both state and local bar activities and are active in civic activities in Enterprise, Coffee County, the surrounding area and the state of Alabama. The firm is proud to be a full service law firm representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts throughout Alabama.
