M. Dale Marsh
Managing Partner
M. Dale Marsh has been practicing law in Enterprise for over 42 years, working in the field of civil litigation. He is the managing partner of Marsh & Cotter, LLP. Rainer Cotter has been practicing law for over twenty five years and is a partner with Marsh & Cotter, LLP. Upon his graduation from law school in 1991, Rainer clerked for United States District Judge Daniel Thomas, Southern District of Alabama, in Mobile. He then practiced for four years with Hill, Hill, Carter in Montgomery before returning to his hometown of Enterprise in 1996. A third generation Enterprise native, Rainer regularly represents clients in all types of disputes and litigation in the southern region of Alabama.
Rainer Cotter is known for his hard work ethic and his strong ties to the community. When he is not working, Rainer enjoys spending time with this family. Rainer and his wife, Vonda, have one daughter, Caroline.
James H. Tarbox

James Tarbox joined the firm Marsh & Cotter, LLP upon his graduation from law school in 2013. James has been involved with all types of legal matters from simple contract disputes to complex federal employment litigation.
James Tarbox regularly represents clients in probate court, district court, and circuit court. When he is not working, James enjoys spending time with his wife, Mallorie, working out at the gym, and watching sporting events on television.

Marsh & Cotter, LLP traces its roots to 1973 when M. Dale Marsh began the practice of law in Enterprise, Alabama. Marsh became a partner in the firm Cassady, Fuller & Marsh, LLP in 1976. Following a federal clerkship in the United States District Court for the Southern Division of Alabama and several years of practice with the Hill, Hill, Carter firm in Montgomery, Alabama, Rainer Cotter returned home to Enterprise and joined the firm of Cassady, Fuller & Marsh in 1996.
